The Blackness

I see your face
a light in the darkness
I see my hopes and dreams
shining in your face
I gaze on it and the purity of the soul I feel is something unmatched
peace adn happiness floods into my very being as I look at you
only five feet away in the dark
I take a step toward you, drawn by a feeling
As I step nearer the feelings heighten
permeating my very being as you stand there and smile
Another step I take and the sweet aroma that surrounds you invades my nose
surrounding me, lifting me up to heights the feel next to heaven
When I open my eyes again and take the last step toward you
you slowly back away
Suddenly a fear passes through me
I try to step closer but you draw further away
I move quicker adn quicker
but the faster I go, the more into the distance you fade
As you fade to a bright speck in the vast darkness
my hopes and dreams
my love and soul
my heart
all fade with you and I know they will be with you
forever
While I stand alone in the dark, staring at the bright point in my life
so far, and unattainable
yet I know that I will always be with her
making her happy in some small way
As I stand there
I feel a great sadness and joy bloom inside of me
So I lay and weep
for the one I love
